Time Bomb in My Mind
People
think we're crazy
Just' cause we made it back alive
Yeah, people think we're crazy
'Cause we made it back alive
Well that really wasn't my fault
The whole damn time I thought I'd die
We'd be walkin' through the jungle
Always lookin' side to side
We'd be lookin' hard for Charlie
Prayin' like hell he'd run and hide
Charlie had a secret weapon
It's a time bomb in my mind
Yeah, Charlie had a secret weapon
Time bomb in my mind
I don't know how they could do it
They drafted children down to nine...
So, people think we're crazy
Just 'cause we made it back alive
Yeah, people think we're crazy
'Cause we made it back alive
You know that wasn't my fault
The whole damn time I thought I'd die

The Vietnam Blues
I wanna tell you 'bout some blues I got one time
In a little place called Vietnam
Now I guess Vietnam's about as far away from here as you can get
'Cause it didn't seem to matter which way the jet flew
Sometimes we'd go east and sometimes west
But no matter twenty-two hours later
There you are in Vietnam
Now, I did three tours over there
Twenty-six months
In which time I came down with malaria three times,
Jungle rot, immersion foot, two kinds of internal parasites,
Shrapnel wounds in my leg
And Agent Orange all over my body
I'm talking' blues now, Jack...
Well, you run into two kinds of Vietnam combat veterans
Some can't talk about it, some can't stop
But there's one thing we've all got in common
Sometimes we get thinkin' 'of the guys 'n gals
That didn't make it back
And we come down with a real bad case of the Vietnam blues...

SISTER SOLDIER
Sister
soldier...sister soldier
She went to Vietnam
Sister soldier...sister soldier
An angel among the bombs
Sometimes just to see her there
Would really mean a lot
She was the last look at an American girl
That some boys ever got
Sister
soldier...sister soldier
She served our nation well
Sister soldier...made you wonder
What's an angel doin' here in Hell
Sometimes just to see her there
Would really mean a lot
She was the last look at an American girl
That some boys ever got
Sister
solder...Sister soldier
She served our nation well
Sister soldier...made you wonder
What's an angel doin' here in hell
Sometimes just to see her there
Would really mean a lot
We remember she was there with us
'Tho folks at home forgot
In
the Air Force...Red Cross and Army
In the Navy and the Marine Corps
Sister soldier...was a bright light
In the darkness of the Vietnam War
Sometimes
just to see her there
Would really mean alot
She was the last look at an American girl
That some boys ever got...
Bless
Your Hearts, Sister Soldiers!
