Rest in Peace
Remembering our
friend and outstanding Marine, on this day, the 40th, anniversary
of his untimely death. I met and talked with Terry the night before
he was KIA. He was soft-spoken and a good man. I am proud to have
served with him. The Marines of Mike Co. 3/5 and 1st platoon will
never forget you, Terry! Semper Fidelis.~Tony Goodrich, Oct

Tripped
a 155 round as Point Man
Pfc. Booth was
the one who I took over as pointman in the Phu Nauns. Our whole company
had just walked a dike and settled in a perimeter digging holes when
we were sent out on a squad-sized patrol over that same dike not an
hour later. Somebody rigged it up. He died, 3 WIAE, 2 WIA. The 3 WIAE's
we never heard from after that. Didn't find out if anyone died, but
it sure looked bad. I was the 7th man back. Pfc. Booth had spent the
prior 2 days telling me how to walk point and what to look for. That's
when they told me I was the new pointman. S/F~Tom Wityak
