Operation UNION

He is My Brother

Only the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Him to whom your example has, in part, led me, Dan, knows why; why would such a good, courageous, young lion as you perish on a foreign field, while I live on to marry a godly woman, chase success, rear two wonderful girls to maturity and enjoy, in peace, the blessings of this free and blessed country?

I remember, Dan. I recall the warm embrace of your family's home. And I remember that, for you, all roads lead to the Anointed One, and all puzzles will be explained by Him.

Forgive me for having forgotten that your middle name was Michael. The name of the archangel... May each of our destinies, and that of all of our beloved, be that of Michael's. Then shall God wipe all of these, and all of our tears, from our eyes.

I cannot hope to die like you. But I will try to live like you, always in pursuit of the Truth.~

My husband's best friend

Dan was a fine young man with wonderful Christian parents. He was my husband's best friend. Wish we could have seen him middle-aged with us, but we are proud of his service to our country.~Jean Kantu

Friend

Dan was a kind, Christian young man who was taken from his family and friends far too early, but not before he made an indelible impression on those who knew him. I knew him as a boy but knew he would become a fine man. The world lost part of its light when it lost Dan.~Cheryl Alleman Greenwalt
