Robert Vincent Reker served with the 3rd Battalion, 5th
Marines, Mike Company. His name stands proudly on the Mike 3/5 Wall of Honor.
Semper fi, Brother Marine. We will never forget.
My
uncle LCPL Robert Vincent Reker from rural Sherman SD/Jasper MN
was with Mike Company probably during May-June 1969. He was KIA
on June 13, 1969 six miles NE of An Hoa. He was only in-country
2 months before being killed so I realize the chance of anyone
remembering him is slim. However, if anyone has any information
about "Bob" or the operations that took place around
the middle of June, 1969 I would appreciate it. We have never
learned much about his time in Vietnam, so I am hoping someone
will share any stories or information if they can. Otherwise,
if someone can point me in a direction to look for more information
that would be appreciated as well. Thanks~Ryan
