Aunt Daisy and
the kids would come visit us in Ohio every summer; James Edward
or Lil' Bubba, as we called him, was the oldest. He was built like
a greek god, very athletic, would win foot races against anyone
he came up against. Iremember he showed us how to make a sling shot,
the kind you swirl over your head and sling it. He always spoke
of leaving high school in order to jon the armed forces. He was
our hero. I was 11 or 12 yrs. old when he enlisted. We were scared,
yet proud. He never came home. I look back and think of his eagerness
fight for his country. He will forever be my hero. Truly missed.
